Position:                    Field Engineer

Type of contract:       Consultancy

Location:                    Sukkur

Duration:                   March 2018-May 2018 (3 Months@20 days per month)

Roles and Responsibility (TOR)

  1. On agreed dates of engagement, report at Sukkur office at 8:30 am and should directly report to Area Development Manager/project Manager.
  2. Attend Action Planning meeting in Sukkur to understand the pilot project identified by communities and provide inputs related to importance of developing BoQs/ designs, proposal documentations and processes
  3. Develop BOQs for Health facilities (BHUs, GDs, RHCs,THQs)
  4. Meetings with District Health Management Authorities for orientation on working procedures and progress sharing
  5. Give complete orientation to health facilities In Charges on how to implement minor repair and Maintenance schemes
  6. Follow the construction specification / quantity as given in drawing and design
  7. Assist 20 Health facilities in White Wash, Stair/Ramps Rail, Emergency exits, Fire extinguisher, Door opens outside for emergency exit, WASH rooms, Drinking water tapes, seating arrangements/sun shade etc.
  8. Fill up the daily log sheet (on days engaged) and share it with PM on daily bases (for days engaged)
  9. Monitor the construction on site technically and check the quality work regularly and issue the NOC at the completion of the required work to each Health facility
  10. Facilitate in quality check according to the provided samples by vendor and submit the GRN after receiving of material at field locations
  11. Clear the all financial matter related to minor repair and maintenance in the health facilities
  12. Submit the final document and completion reports to Area Development Manager/Project Manager as well as to Finance department with in 15 of days of the work completion
  13. Perform any other relevant task assign by the organization during the implementation of minor repair and maintenance of the health facilities in targeted area.
  14. Ensure in design and implementation for the minimum engineering standards in construction work and especially Sphere standards where applicable in all projects.

Required Education and Experience

  • University degree in Civil Engineering/Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum experience of 5 years on site construction implementation
  • Experience in developing BOQs for Health facilities/Community projects
  • Having experience in Auto CAD, materials inspections and site monitoring

 Duty hours:

 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM on days agreed per the contract
