Description of the Unit:
In 2007, Trócaire opened a country office in Pakistan. Our goal in Pakistan is, ‘to contribute to a just and equal society where people have control over their own lives and are holding those in power to account.’ Trócaire’s work in Pakistan focuses on four key areas: rights of bonded labourers, preparing for and responding to emergencies, tackling gender-based violence and securing sustainable livelihoods. Together with 15 local organisations, Trócaire works in 14 districts across Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
Background to the Role:
Trócaire has an annual budget in excess of 4 million and receives medium term institutional funding from Irish and Australian Government, as well as short term funding from other Caritas Internationalis agencies and grant making institutions. Under the country strategy (2016-2020), Trócaire has an ambitious growth agenda for its Pakistan programme.

In addition, the post holder will be required to engage with other relevant staff in Pakistan and Ireland.

Role Description
Scope of the Role:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Trócaire’s donor funding in Pakistan. The Business Development Manager will lead on the identification of funding opportunities and the development of high quality proposals and reports, with the support of the programme and finance teams. The Business Development Manager will oversee and ensure compliance with all donor rules and regulations, as well as Trócaire’s internal grant management, finance and programming policies.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities will involve linking with the Regional Institutional Funding Officer based in Ireland to ensure alignment with donor and organisational priorities and regulations and ensure appropriate sharing of information, coordinating proposal/report reviews, input on donor contracts and effective management of grants.
