Position: Program Officer, Communications and Coordination

Overview

The Program Officer, Communications and Coordination will manage overall communications and coordination amongst different implementing partners for the Victim Assistance Program. The Program Officer will work closely with Program Development Officer to identify opportunities and manage portfolio of grant activities under the program.

Job Description:

  • Manage a portfolio of grant activities.  Serve as point of contact for grantees, monitor their progress against timelines, provide technical oversight on implementation and ensure adherence to grant agreements and all organization and donor protocols, policies and regulations.
  • Support Program Development Officer in maintaining communications and coordination with partners and relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Program Officer – Government Liaison and Partnerships on smooth coordination and efficient implementation of project.
  • Ensure compliance for grants throughout activity implementation as well as ensure timely disbursement of funds in accordance with organization and donor regulations.Conduct field visits and manage implementation of activities for timely reporting and communication updates to all partners and relevant stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Relevant Experience:

  • University degree in relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of Seven (7) years of experience in related role required.
  • Relevant experience working on USAID contract in a related role highly preferred. Experience with grants or small grants under contract programs required.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office suite) required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • English language fluency required
