Summary:
The Program Officer - Health is responsible for all Programmatic and operational work in nutrition component .This position will be based in Sukkur and reports to Senior Program Manager - Health (Sukkur).
Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior program manager health for Programmatic and operational work in nutrition component
- Work and assist SPM - Health implementations Programmatic strategies, campaigns, messages, and activities for CMP's health and nutrition component.
- Support for data entry and data analysis in conjugation with M&E team and nutrition information system (NIS) MIS and nutrition screening data management entry and reporting
- Support SPM- health strategic and activities for cross cutting themes water and sanitation.
- Monitor field activities and guide field team specifically Nutrition associate and social mobilizer.
- Assist and support SPM-health development of month and annual work and other related task with SPM- health and CMP senior management team to ensure seamless,
- integrated implementation of CMP's health and nutrition component activities with CMP's community mobilization activities and the other programme activities.
- Regularly report implementation progress to SPM - Health.
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting and share with SPM - Health on monthly and quarterly basis as per time lines.
- Participate meetings internal and other stakeholders on the behalf hisher supervisor.
- To report SPM - Health responsible for CMP nutrition activities.
- He/she will be responsible for other task assigned by supervisor (SPM - Health) and senior management team.
- Establish and maintain communication with DMs, partners organisations team for smooth implementation of nutrition and health component.
- Maintenance soft and hard record program related.
- Maintenance the nutrition information system/MIS section related nutrition component on day to day bases and generate real time information on the programmatic. Also maintain screening record and generate reports.
Required Skills and Qualifcation:
- Bachlors/Masters in social science (Nutrition/ Health) preferably worked with Nutrition related projects.
- Advance degree in Nutrition, community health, social sciences, or related discipline will be more pereffered
- 2-3 years’ experience on Health and nutrition and community mobilization development projects
- A demonstrated commitment to addressing challenges of health and nutrition developing countries.
- Familiarity with Pakistan health and nutrition system
- Expertise on nutrition screening and reporting.
- Field experience
- Strong communication, report writing, project management and leadership skills.
- Strong English writing and speaking skills
- Having good computer skills
- Ability to participate in technical and program meetings in English and Urdu.
- Ability to travel to the field
- Familiarity with Sindhi and living and working experience in Sindh province specially interior areas.
