Manager – Human Resource [Agricultural Market Development (AMD) Project]

Project Description:

CNFA is currently seeking an HR Manager for the USAID-funded Agricultural Marketing Development (AMD) Project in Pakistan. This program will aim to create productive commercial linkages between agricultural producers and the private sector in the mango, citrus, halal meat, and high-value off-season vegetable value chains.

 

Position Summary:

This position will be based in Lahore and is open to Pakistani nationals only. The HR Manager will be hired for the duration of the project and will support AMD by overseeing all HR operations and liaison with CNFA head office in Washington D.C.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the project’s Human Resources department in coordination with the CNFA Personnel Manual and local labor laws
  • Manage recruitment of all LTTA staff and STTA Consultants
  • Responsible for the process of candidate selection and writing salary justification for new hires and coordination with HO on regular basis
  • Leading the process of Employee Performance Management
  • Responsible to plan orientation/induction for new hires. Provide current employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and employee benefits
  • Management of monthly timesheets of all LT staff ensuring that all the staff are paid accurately according to the working hours
  • Management of the staff Leave Record
  • Preparation of monthly payroll and monthly budget forecasting
  • Ensure that HR files are maintained with all necessary documentation
  • Represent the HR department in all internal and external reviews/audits
  • Adhere to all CNFA and USAID standard operating procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pakistani national;
  • Master’s degree in HRM, Business Management, Social Sciences or equivalent;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the same role, preferably with USAID contracts or international organizations; 
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe applications;
  • Excellent written and communication skills as well as interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail is essential;
  • Ability to work well in diverse teams but also productive working individually with minimum supervision;
  • Well organized, strong analytical skills, creative thinker, innovative and demonstrated personal initiative;
  • Prior USAID or other international donor experience preferred;
  • Fluency in English required;
  • Fluency in Urdu preferred.
