Relevant Experience:

Job Description:

Manage the property, logistics; and assume the responsibility of all the procurements carried out at the National Centre, to ensure that the supportive services are appropriate and timely. Also Provide guidance and support in the formulation of SPO strategies and provide quality legal support in terms of registration, compliance and tax related matters.

Administrative: 

  • Deals in the procurement of services, supplies, furniture and equipment as per SPO policies & procedures at the National Centre
  • Coordinates with technically qualified/skilled staff in determining quality, technical specifications etc. for procurement of technical equipment
  • Makes all air and surface travel arrangements and hotel bookings for National Centre staff while on official travel; also those of Board of Directors; staff from Regional Centres while on official visits to Islamabad
  • Helps to obtain visa and other travel documents for foreign visits of SPO Staff and members of the Board of Directors;
  • Ensures that all legal / contractual obligations regarding insurances, maintenance, registration, etc. of SPO equipment and vehicles are current
  • Coordinates with Unit Managers and supervises logistical support for National Centre trainings and PR events
  • Prepares and maintains property inventory of the equipment, furniture and vehicles at/under the direct control of National Centre
  • Disposes the SPO's redundant equipment, furniture and vehicles under SPO approved procedures
  • Responsible for the building and equipment maintenance/repair at the National Centre and Regional Centres 

Legal: 

  • Monitor the development of policies and procedure according to prevailing law and doctrine.
  • Advocate for proper interpretation of law and doctrine as well as in the development of policies and procedure.
  • Provide legal advice on these issues and drafting of position papers and guidelines on pertinent legal and operational issues, including those of taxation.
  • Provide guidance and support in the formulation of SPO strategies.
  • Liaise with external actors, including registration authorities, Economic Affairs Division, etc. to safe guard the interest of SPO.
  • Participate in the development of project proposals and project implementation.
