Summary:
This position will be primarily responsible for all income and sales tax matters including their compliances with local and federal level tax laws and rules; and other financial and accounting treatments and related matters under supervision of the Director Finance & Administration.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Processing of GST/SST tax exemption packages as per USAID guidelines including tracking of all submitted and accepted GST/SST packages
- Follow-up with USAID for any unaccepted GST/SST tax exemption packages and/or unprocessed exemption certificates
- Timely intimation to vendors about their status of GST/SST tax exemption packages
- Reconciliation of withheld income taxes of vendors and non-vendors and assurance of their timely deposits in government treasury
- Maintenance of CPRs and provision of tax deposited certificates to vendors including addressing of their queries if arises
- Monthly and annual filing of withholding tax returns through iris portal
- Compilation of required documents and processing of vetting of vendors, contactors and other suppliers
- Liaison with external auditors, banks and implementing partners including review of their financial reports and support to finance staff for timely processing their invoices
- Monthly processing of EOBI payments; and tracking and updating employees data with EOBI authorities
- The incumbent will be responsible for corporate affairs of the company.
- Any additional assignment given and reports required by DFA
Relevant Education and Experience:
- CA/ICMAP/ACCA partially or fully completed with CA articles from reputable firm.
- Atleast 5 years’ experience in Tax Advisory Service.
- Accounting Software especially QuickBooks will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical skills, ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Professional level skills in MS Office.
- Good English written and spoken skills
