Consultancy Opportunity 1

Design an innovative community awareness raising campaign on importance of personal hygiene and solid waste management and extend technical support for its execution

The objective of the above stated consultancy assignment is to design an innovative awareness raising campaign on importance of personal hygiene and solid waste management according to the local context of villages of tehsil and district Layyah. The consultant is expected to deliver the following:

1. Visit at least 3 villages of Layyah and meet with the local people to understand the local norms, culture, religion and in view of local dos and don’ts of the villages;

2. Prepare list and complete description of each innovative tool which are appropriate for the local norms, culture, religion and dos and don’ts of the villages;

3. Pre-test these tools in a village to check the responsiveness and effectiveness of the local people. Ensure pre and post knowledge tests are integral part of each tool;

4. Finalize the list and description of the tools based on the results of pre-test;

5. Train a group of individuals including CHIP team in the implementation of finalised tools;

6. Extend shadow support in three villages while local team implement the finalised tools to help them develop hands on experience and skill for onward implementation.

Consultancy Opportunity 2

Prepare baseline survey report

The objective of the above stated consultancy assignment is to prepare baseline survey report. Data has already been collected and entered in MS excel. The consultant is expected to deliver the following:

1. Prepare draft outline of the report;

2. Share the draft outline of the report with CHIP for its feedback;

3. Review the data and prepare variables for inserting in the draft outline of the report and share draft list of variables with CHIP for its feedback;

4. Hold meeting with the focal person of CHIP for finalization of variables and outline of the report;

5. Undertake analysis of the data according to the finalised variables;

6. Interpret the data in the form of graphs, tables and charts and interpret them in good English;

7. Prepare draft report as per finalised outline and above stated analysis;

8. Share first draft report with CHIP for its feedback;

9. Insert feedback of CHIP and compile second draft of the report;

10. Submit second draft to CHIP for any other feedback;

11. Finalize the report

Consultancy Opportunity 3

To determine status of malnutrition in lactating women and children under 5 years through physical visits to 15 villages of Tehsil and District Layyah

The objective of the above stated consultancy assignment is to do the nutrition assessment of 500 lactating women and 500 children under 5 years of age through door to door visit or group gatherings in 15 villages. The consultant is expected to deliver the following:

1. Design assessment form and share it with CHIP for its feedback. Once feedback is shared, finalize the form;

2. Undertake physical visits to 15 villages for nutrition assessment of lactating women and children and fill out assessment form for each assessed woman and child;

3. Prepare variables for the analysis of the collected data;

4. Prepare draft outline of the report

5. Share the draft outline of the report with CHIP for its comments

6. Enter the data in MS excel or SPSS or any other software for analysis;

7. Undertake analysis of the data according to the finalised variables;

8. Interpret the data in the form of graphs, tables and charts and interpret them in good English;

9. Prepare draft report as per finalised outline and above stated analysis;

10. Share draft report with CHIP for its feedback;

11. Insert feedback by CHIP and compile second draft of the report;

12. Submit second draft to CHIP for any other feedback;

13. Finalize the report with a list of context specific solutions to address issues of malnutrition in women and children.
