As Factory Manager you will direct and coordinate manufacturing activities towards accomplishment of company goals. You will be responsible for the activities of a four-person management team, and have ultimate responsibility for the activities of up to 100 employees and five section supervisors.

The position is responsible for providing key leadership, direction, organization, management, monitoring and QA compliance of the roles, activities and proceedings of all personnel to ensure the successful, cost effective, timely and safe processing of customer orders.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for factory output, product quality, on time delivery and cost control – responsibilities include:

• Interview and hire all personnel.

• Monitor employee performance, reward, discipline or fire employees as necessary, address employee complaints and resolve problems.

• Organize and direct the management team to efficiently provide all management functions.

• Maintain100% on-time delivery by careful planning of production output, according to demand, and adjusting staff levels, inventory levels and other factors as necessary.

• Maintain inventory levels and supplies at required levesl for planned production.

• Monitor and maintain adequate supply quality of subcontractor componets.

• Establish and maintain quality assurance procedures throughout the entire manufacturing process. Implement and maintain quality control stages to ensure 100% quality of delivered products.

• Monitor each production process and recommend process changes if necessary. Implement approved changes without disruption of output.

• Monitor overall performance of plant and deliver regular reports on performance to stakeholders.

• Monitor and control material costs and operating expenses to keep within budget.

• Ensure production is run efficiently, waste is kept to a minimum and equipment is maintained to company standards.

Education:

• MBA preferred. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, Logistics or equivalent.

Experience:

• 10+ years of progressively increasing managerial experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in steel fabrication is preferable.

• Experience of communicating accurately and comfortably in English.

• Proven track record of successful problem solving utilizing critical thinking skills in a production environment.

• Proven ability to manage a staff of 50 to 100 employees, to delegate and retain functions as necessary.

• Proven ability to maintain discipline and adherence to quality standards procedures, budgets and deadlines. Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

• Must be fluent in English and Urdu – both written and spoken.

• Must be well organized and detail-oriented with proven initiative and self-starter skills.

• Must possess and demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and be a motivator of people.

• Must possess and demonstrate the ability to direct individuals and delegate responsibilities and tasks.

• Must possess and demonstrate verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.

• Must possess problem solving and analytical skills.

• Must be computer literate and able to utilize MS Word and Excel. Must be comfortable in utilizing common communication methods, email, WhatsApp, Skype etc.

• Must possess and demonstrate ability to read, understand, interpret and apply technical writing skills and instructions.

• Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals within and between departments.
