Job Advertisement Peshawar Field Office Project Team

Civil Society Human & Institutional Development Programme (CHIP) is a value led organization that has made its mark in the development sector all over the Pakistan. We are looking for enthusiastic/energetic candidates for the following position.

Project Officer, Social Inclusion
  • Masters in Social Science, Development Studies, Disability Studies Etc.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the:
  • Training, coaching and mentoring in the filed of disability;
  • Social inclusion in development projects or community development process.
  • Clear understanding of disability inclusion, importance of early childhood development, human rights and protection principles in development projects
  • Experience in applying participatory methods and managing partnerships in an empowering manner
  • Computer skills and good verbal and written communication preferred.  Priority would be given to persons having command on English, Pashtu and Urdu languages.  Work Experience in an NGO/INGO would be preferred.  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is favoured.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to work independently and work as a team and commitment to comply with the mission and values of CHIP;
  • Being from the project area/having lived and worked in the project area is an added advantage;
  • Commitment to follow Human Rights and ensure protection principles in all projects activities;
  • Willingness to learn and ability to work efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of people
Project Coordinator
  • Masters in Social Sciences or Project Management
  • Minimum of seven years experience in the:
  • Community development, disability mainstreaming work and experience in child focused projects
  • Development research
  • Project management and report writing
  • The required skill set includes:
  • Conceptual analysis, project and staff management;
  • Setting up monitoring and evaluation system;
  • Writing projects progress report;
  • Developing promotional and advocacy materials
  • Computer skills and good verbal and written communication preferred.  Priority would be given to persons having command on English, Pashtu and Urdu languages.  Work Experience in an NGO/INGO would be preferred.  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is favoured.

Project Officer, Psychosocial

  • Masters in Psychology, Counselling, Communications, Gender Studies, Social Work
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the:
  • Identification of psychosocial needs,
  • Providing psychosocial care
  • Community based training and supervision of community workers
  • Experience in the field of disability inclusion and working with children, experienced in developing individual psychosocial support plans and guiding case management  
  • Experience in working with children with disability and actively involving care givers in the interventions
  • Computer skills and good verbal and written communication preferred.  Priority would be given to persons having command on English, Pashtu and Urdu languages.  Work Experience in an NGO/INGO would be preferred.  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is favoured.

Type of Contract

Fixed term, 24 months with possibility of extension

Job Location

Peshawar, with frequent travel to Nowshera

Interview and assessment date

The procedure will follow several steps, written test and interviews.
