The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Pakistan is looking for a suitable candidate to fill this vacancy in its sub delegation in Peshawar:


REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • MBBS Doctor

    Preferably, experience in an Emergency Department (ED)

  • Master’s in Public Health

    Preferably, experience in a developmental health project or Quality assurance related project

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Good command of Pashto and Urdu

  • Team leadership skills

  • Managerial skills

  • Very good analytical & computer skills

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assistant Hospital Project Manager will work in Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), Emergency department (ED dept) in close collaboration with the management of the ED department and the management of the hospital to improve the quality of healthcare delivery of the ED department.

  • Supports the ICRC Hospital Project Manager (HPM) in analyzing operational challenges-offers tangible solutions aimed at improving the quality of services in the hospital.

  • Assess the rational use of resources allocated and make recommendations.

  • Monitors quality, relevance, and implementation of training for the doctors in the ED department.

  • Support the ED non-medical management to improve the administrative skills and knowledge.

  • Support the ED to develop a teaching/ on-job training program for the doctors to improve the quality of care in the ED department.

  • Monitor & evaluate the project using Result Based Management (RBM) tool.

  • Contribute to the analysis of the gaps in terms of management of the ED department and propose possible solutions (management of human resources, drugs, equipment, carrier development plan, procurement process and other activities related to the administration of the A & E department).

  • Propose a contingency plan for the ED with clear steps to mitigate problems.

  • Coordinate the ICRC team working in the ED.

  • In charge of monitoring and evaluation of the Project: organizes the quarterly progress review of the ICRC/LRH collaborative activities.

  • Contributes to the monthly, quarterly and annual health reports.
