Positions Summary

Society for the Advancement of Education (SAHE) is a non-profit organization working in the field of Education in Pakistan from over 30 years. SAHE is seeking Regional Coordinator, Field Supervisors and Field Researchers/Enumerators to be part of a team that will carry out the reading assessment activities in six (06) selected districts of Punjab. The purpose of this exercise is to conduct school visits and carryout reading assessment of primary grade students and teacher interviews. This is a contractual position and estimated duration of this assignment is approximately 30 days starting from September 2017.

Education and Qualifications

• At least a master’s degree in social sciences or a related field.
• Master’s degree in education or graduates with a certificate/degree in education will be given a preference.

 Work Experience:

• At least two (02) years of experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection in education sector projects.
• Experience in supervising/conducting students reading assessments would be preferred.

 Major Responsibilities:

• Participate in an orientation and training session in Islamabad to understand the purpose of the project and become familiar with the data collection instruments, data collection approach and district based data collection plan.
• Collect high quality data as per the data collection plan and data collection instruments and submit the completed instruments weekly to the implementing organisation.
• Coordinate and liaise with the implementing organizations field activity managers on daily basis or when required.
• Perform other related tasks assigned by implementing organization and keeping proper documentation of all assigned project activities.
• Comply with instructions, policies and procedures, organizational goals and values. Work with integrity and ethically.

  Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent analytical and personal communication skills and ability to work as a member of a team
• Willingness and ability to travel to the field, as required.
• Fluency in written and spoken Urdu and regional languages is required.
