Program Description
PERSI supports small scale activities in Punjab and Sindh by providing grants to undertake programming. The activities are designed to support organizations, including Governmental entities, local organizations and community groups, to implement peace building and community development activities.
Overview
The Research Assistant will report directly to the Research Specialist in the regional office;
Scope of Work
- Working with M&E team and Research Specialist to clean and enter data, and summarize initial findings
- Assist in maintaining quality control over quantitative and qualitative data collected by the team, and/or partner organizations
- Assist in maintaining quality control over any research deliverables (i.e. FGD transcripts and translations, FGD reports, summary of findings, etc)
- Coordinate with partner organizations to ensure timeliness and quality of data-focused deliverables
- Coordinate with partner organizations in any logistics related to research/data collection needs
- Support Research Specialist in discrete research tasks (largely desk-based)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Minimum of Six (6) years’ of experience in related role or any research experience
Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu required; proficiency in regional languages such as Punjabi, Seraiki, highly desired
Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods
Attention to detail
Mimimum Education Bachelors Degree in related discipline
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Ability to balance competing priorities
Excellent critical thinking and writing skills
Ability to travel to the field, if required
