Purpose of the Job: 

The Head of Finance contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks for the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties: (Minimum 4 and maximum 8) 

  • Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
  • Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
  • Analyze the financial climate and market trends to assist  in creating strategic plans for the future
  • Negotiate with Bank for lines of credit or other financial services as required and appropriate
  • Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation
  • Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Executive
    Director and Treasurer and/or Finance Committee

  • Advise the organization's leadership on appropriate insurance coverage for the organization and the Board of Directors
  • Evaluate the need for new technology to meet the organization's financial data processing, control, and reporting requirements
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally
    accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

    • Vendors, Tax firms, Ministry of commerce, Financial forums, regulaory authorities

Key Experiences 

15 -20 years of relevant experience in FMCG Sector .

Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong Accounting experience

Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

Small and large project/program orientation

 Knowledge 

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles,  laws and best practices
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
