Field Engineer - STTA

Job Description:

• Performing surveys, if required, to prepare layout of park – including play areas, sports grounds, public restrooms, kiosks for sales, gardens, pathways, lighting, fencing, pedestrian and vehicular inlets and exists as well as fire access, and other structures such as community centers, youth centers.
• Preparing conceptual and detailed designs and drawings in electronic and hardcopy format for any of the above rehabilitation/construction activities.
• Preparing feasibility for physical rehabilitation of community spaces as well as environmental considerations
• Preparing detailed bills of quantities and other budget details including cost estimates, specifications, list of all material and timelines for implementing the physical construction/rehabilitation work.
• Identifying the necessary government permits required to perform the required physical construction/rehabilitation work.
• Preparing a draft basic maintenance plan for rehabilitated park/physical space that includes requirements for landscaping, trash removal, watering green areas, maintenance of on-site utilities.
• Monitor the construction, rehabilitation and renovation of any activity that deals with physical construction/rehabilitation.
• Working closely with the Grants and Programs teams as well as community members to ensure stakeholder consensus on the quality of implementation.
• Any other task related to facilitating construction/rehabilitation of physical spaces.

Relevant Experience:

• Qualification: B.E (Civil Engineering)
• At least three years of experience in designing and implementing community physical infrastructure construction and rehabilitation and/or similar civil work.
• Experience of working in urban neighborhoods preferably Karachi
• Experience of using design softwares
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
