Job Description:

  • Responsible for facilitating TB-DOTS & TB-HIV activities at Tertiary & Secondary Care Levels and coordinate with their counterpart in DR-TB to support the programmatic activities
  • Ensure that all PTP/NTP Recording & Reporting formats are properly maintained as per guidelines
  • Closely coordinate with laboratory staff of TCH/DHQ for follow up of patient referred from DOTS centers
  • Prepare quarterly reports and submit to Regional Coordinator (HDL) / NPO by the first week of subsequent quarter. Keep and maintain records (Hard Copies) of all  reports produced by TCH/DHQ
  • Visit and liaise with engaged units/wards (nominated doctor & staff nurses) to identify presumptive TB cases among in-patients
  • Convey operational issues to RC/NPO in a timely manner for smooth functioning of DOTS Centers
  • Assist RC/NPO/HDL Coordinator in coordinating Quarterly Review Meetings at TCH/DHQ
  • Attend Quarterly Review Meeting and record minutes
  • Retrieve lost to follow up patients and facilitate contact tracing through counseling of the registered TB patients with special focus on children
  • Connect cases to peripheral BMUs as per patients choice and follow-up the transferred out patients with recipient BMU
  • Maintain records of TB medicines, dispense drugs to patients
  • Maintain TB medicine stock register to ensure no stock-outs of medicines or supplies
  • Any other task assigned by the HDL Coordinator for smooth implementation of the intervention

Criteria/ Required Qualification and Experience

FA / FSc, graduate will be preferred. One year of experience. Working with health related community programs will be preferred. Working on MS Office, good communication skills both written and verbal are highly desired.
