Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) is the lead apex institution for community-driven development in the country. Background:
Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SQL server are specialized products. Microsoft endorses only Microsoft certified IT professionals and developers having good and proven experience for configuration, customization/development, administration, and maintenance of these Microsoft products.
After implementation of MIS, the PPAF’s MIS team will be responsible for providing support to MIS internal and external users; develop new reports, enhance the MIS by adding new business requirements and administration of Microsoft SQL Server and Dynamics CRM. The existing IT and MIS team lacks experience of these products. The existing team will be provided trainings on the new MIS application and access to online Microsoft Portal for self-study has been provided to the MIS team.
Purpose:
Highly skilled and experienced software engineer with a strong experience in Microsoft SQL server Administration and development. The consultant will be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing web applications. This person will work with a team of MS.NET, MS Dynamics CRM, MS SharePoint and MS SQL Server engineers to maintain and enhance highly-performing enterprise MIS system.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer Microsoft SQL Server Databases and MySQL database.
- Build new systems with .NET 4.0 / ASP.NET / SQL Server 2008 /Reporting tools.
- Participate in requirement analysis, architecture, design and implementation of new systems
- Ensure security, consistency and integrity of data. Define and implement data security policies and procedures
- Participate in a small, experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule.

Education:
- Bachelor or Masters’ in Computer Science from a HEC recognized university
- Microsoft certification(s) in database administration and/or development
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Administration.
- Experience of database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and MySQL
- MIS and Web Portal development using Microsoft .Net technologies will be a plus.
- Large-scale project experience is desirable
Skills Required:
- 2+ years’ experience in MS SQL Server 2005/2008 administration i.e. performance management, security, backup/recovery, optimization, SQL Profiler, clustering and etc
- 1+ years’ experience in MS SQL Server 2005/2008 design and development. Advanced relational database experience (design, stored procedures, triggers etc.)
- Experience on Microsoft .NET (3.5/4.0 framework) development technologies & platform (C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, LINQ), Reporting Tools (Crystal, Microsoft Reporting Services and others)
- MySQL and PHP experience will be an advantage
- UML modeling and ER Diagram experience
- Full SDLC systems and applications development experience
- Good experience of project development methodologies Agile, SCRUM, RUP and documentation
- Self motivated, ability to learn fast, proactive, can do attitude
Duration:
The initial duration of the consultancy is six months.
